How to save time and money on fruit...

Fruit is expense and after spending way too much on fruit the previous week, I was complaining about it to my mother. Well, while we were shopping in Sam's Club my mom had the idea that I should just buy one of their fruit trays for the week. What a great idea, it saves money and prep time and the pieces are already small and just right for bento making. I came home and put the fruit in Lock N Lock containers and it worked out great. Sam's also had a large container of strawberries for only $2.99.

China Town

Monkey loves to do flash cards. One question said "What is the ancestral home of Chinese people?" Monkey didn't understand the question, so I said where do Chinese people come from? His response, stated very loudly with much confidence, "China Town". That was the best laugh I had all day.

Thanksgiving Cooking

Today I tried a new muffin mix for Monkey. Here are the pictures. I don't have much time to experiment and try recipes for him but when the holidays come I always make multiple dishes for him and most times he ends up not liking them. In order to increase the chances of him liking this mix, I tried four different ways to prepare the mix, plain, extra sugar, raisins, and applesauce. I also finally remembered to look for Soyatoo at Wholefoods, but it was a waste of money, he didn't like it at all. So he had me but white icing on the muffins instead. He didn't even want me to try the raisins but it turns out he like the ones with raisins the best. Then he wanted to try the raisins mixed with the applesauce.
