Homemade Potato Chips

I made the potato chips in the microwave.  I sliced a potato using a mandolin, then to remove some of the starch and help make them crispy I washed the potato slices and let then let them soak in water.  I placed them on top of a piece of parchment paper, sprinkled some with salt and some with garlic power and microwaved until a little brown and crispy.

I'm trying to eliminate as much salt as possible from my diet.  So I made the ones with salt on them for Mani and to my surprise he only liked the ones with the garlic powder.   WINNING!!!
